This is a place where simplicity, calmness and fineness met. It is the only one modern museum design that I fall in love for the first sight. Haa! Thank you I.M.Pei () , you are truly inspired, for designing such amazing architecture work. I wish I can stay in the museum for months to experience the feel of calmness and purity. “Huia” - brand

October 2nd, 2006 | 3:30 PM

huia

The huia bird was only found in New Zealand, unfortunately it already extinct. The “huia” was considered ‘tapu’ or sacred by the Maori. To wear a “huia” tail feather or beak as ornamentation was a great honour, so “huia” were killed for their feathers and beaks in old days. Well, “huia” also became flavoured beverage brand back in old days, and wonder how the taste of the drink will be? haa..(Picture taken - museum in Dannevirke, New Zealand - 4/11/04)

w&k

I took this picture because of the hand drawing logotype “W&K” of their old advertising document, displayed at the small museum in Dannevirke, New Zealand. I love how the hand drawing logotype can be such unique and personal as well. (Picture taken - 4/11/04)

The eye of truth

bird eye

Looking into the eye of this bird, felt the sadness and sympathy of how it end up to be displayed in this museum. I guess we better do something meaningful to our environment because this is the only planet we have. (Picture taken - Museum of Natural History, Paris, France - 6/2/06)
